At CYO and Community Services, we believe that all persons, regardless of their disability, have the right to enjoy a broad range experiences that others in their community enjoy. Through numerous activities, outings and organized structure, people with disabilities learn valuable skills, make meaningful friendships, increase their self-esteem and enhance their social skills. Equally important is that while the program participants are out in the community enjoying themselves, family members are able to use the time to refresh themselves and take a much needed break from caregiving.
CYO and Community Services has been providing programs for persons with disabilities for over 45 years. CYO employs degreed people from a variety of backgrounds such as education, psychology, speech pathology, social work, recreation and more. Additionally, CYO employs enthusiastic and motivated college students, a few high school students and volunteers. To ensure the safety of all participants, CYO staff members are fingerprinted and must pass a criminal background check.
CYO and Community Services offers 3 individualized programs, suited to a wide variety of individuals with special needs.
